You can start doing your first plank in a correct and safe way in the video below.
Planks are a fantastic exercise for building core strength.
A strong core protects your spine during everyday movements, helps toning your abdominal muscles (if done consistently), relieves lower back pain, promotes better posture and more!!
Hold the plank for as long as you can keep your back in line.
I suggest to hold the plank for 15-25 seconds for beginners, repeat 2-3 times.
If practiced over time, you'll be able to hold it for
1-2minutes straight!!
